Rock art is a discipline that needs to be studied in depth to understand the culture that created these art signatures. Over the years archaeologists tend to be shy speculating the significance of petroglyph signatures or elements when prehistoric societies are not fully understood and archaeologists cannot achieve an adequate sense of what is the significance of rock art merely by excavating a site. Our mission is to continue to inventory and study rock art to hopefully learn its significance and affinity with other cultures and sites in the region. Better understanding rock art will aid us to promote public awareness and better understanding of archaeological sites that contain rock art improving the public outlook and heritage significance. We volunteered working closely with the Nevada Rock Art Foundation.
